Still not 100% sure why the download links aren’t working. In order to generate new links, I had to rename the file. So here’s a new link for the Windows Installer, the name has changed but the code is the same…..
If this works, I’ll do the same for the MACOS version.22 January, 2019 at 14:40 #60932
@jihlein Maybe you should use GitHub’s releases for the files? Are there problems building packages for Windows with Travis CI for example?22 January, 2019 at 14:45 #60933
@frederoo – I don’t know, never heard of Travis CI, would need to research it some and see if I can figure it out.22 January, 2019 at 21:54 #60934
dRonin flags most every anti-virus i have… Maybe the uploaded package is being blocked?23 January, 2019 at 07:17 #60936

Let me share one video from my Sunday flying with Big Tri: https://youtu.be/1qVtzqoIu1A23 January, 2019 at 19:01 #60938
ack, new link is broken! at least the PC side.
Also, can I use this build of dRonin to run a plain ol Quad?
thanks!23 January, 2019 at 20:18 #60939
When you say broken, what does it exactly do/not do?
@david, is there anyway we can host the install binary on recexplorer.se some where/some how?
Yes, this version will work with a plain ol Quad. It’s simply the dRonin “stock” release with the triflight routines added when tricopter is selected, and some stuff for the bicopter.23 January, 2019 at 21:29 #60940
Clicking on the link for PC version of dRonin (just below the video for same) I get

but the link for the Mac version leads to a downloadable file.24 January, 2019 at 07:41 #60941

I’m running out of ideas here – wonder if something has changed on Microsoft OneDrive as this has always worked before. Tonight I’ll take the dRonin Windows Installer exe file, pack it into a zip file, upload that to OneDrive, and post a link to that. Hopefully that will work.24 January, 2019 at 23:28 #60953
Okay, so I created the a zip file for the installer, uploaded it, and created a link. The link is:
I sent this link to one of my kids laptops, and was able to download the zip file, unzip the installer, execute it and install the dRonin software, run the GCS, and connect to one of my copters.
So the process seems to work now. Maybe there’s something about the exe file the OneDrive doesn’t like.
Hopefully it works for others….. 🙂25 January, 2019 at 00:08 #60954
All Ziping it does is mask the problem, until its opened.
It’s been brought up a few times before on dRonin forums that the executable flags. Either the end users system or the server hosting it blocks it. Othen without warning or a specific reason given.25 January, 2019 at 00:51 #60955
I’m not sure this is the same issue. Maybe. But as I said, I can download from this link and install and run. On my daughter’s laptop it downloaded fine, and unzipped fine, although I did have to tell Norton Antivirus the file was safe. There’s nothing I can do about the antivirus programs flagging it, that’s beyond me.
I’m curious if others can now download and install……
