ParticipantHi guys,
First tested the Kakute in Betaflight on 3.5.1. Everything works fine. I’ve wire’ed the R-XSR up to RX3, as per the Kakute F4 V2 manual. Blue light is on, on the receiver so I am certain that the R-XSR is in SBUS mode. I was able to get the radio set up as usual.
Now… In dRonin I am completely incapable of getting the SBUS up running. There’s nothing. Nothing at all. Everything else works. ESC’s servo etc.
Any suggestions as to what could be playing tricks with me?
Cheers,

ModeratorGround (blk wire) to Gnd
Red (Red wire) to 5V pad
S.Port (yellow wire) to SP, be aware that this FC port and its R-XSR wire are inverted. (UART-1 in your GCS settings)
SBus (green wire) to R3. (UART-3 in your GCS settings)28 May, 2019 at 09:57 #62102Bumblebeast
ParticipantDear Kevin Erik,
Thank you for your reply. I’ve just checked the connections again (again-again-again).
I had wire’ed everything up exactly as you state. I have now desoldered the entire row of wires, just to clean up, double-double-double checked that I have not made any mistakes. Still the same.
1. Everything works fine in Betaflight using stock Betaflight firmware.
2. Absolutely no hole through to the R-XSR when I flash the dRonin firmware.Attached is a screenshot of the Betaflight settings that function correctly. Quite stock. On a note, I have tried with another R-XSR receiver, as well as updating the receiver firmware. No luck.
Any help is highly appreciated. I’ve been thorough a handful of exotic builds before, this is just so weird.
Cheers guys, have a wonderful day you all,
DavidAttachments:
