Hi,
this is my first flight controller with vcp. As always i ordered two.The first one behaves as expected.
Plug in usb-> led blinking-> com port detected -> cleanflight connect -> voila works.
Hold boot button & connect -> no led blinking -> STM Bootloader detected, no comport, cleanflight switches to DFU -> flashing works.Connecting normal & push flash in cleanflight app works too.
So the second one. Same board same procedure different behavior.
Plug in usb-> led blinking-> com port detected -> cleanflight connect -> voila works.
Hold boot button & connect -> leds still blink like normal mode. No STM Bootlader still STM Virtual Comport.Hitting flash in cleanflight changes the mode to STM Bootloader but cleanflight won’t switch to DFU mode.
In Zadig Winusb is loaded.
Any idea? I think it is a broken board, because boot button not working.

If the boot button is not getting it to DFU mode, it’s defective.

Didn’t worked either.25 July, 2016 at 00:03 #31440GAntonjoModeratorTo me it sounds like the boot button on your board number 2 is not working. The board itself is not entering boot loader, hence there is not need to check on another PC. Is the boot button correctly soldered to the F3FC Race board? Does it really connect the needed pads when pressed?

When i connect both pin with a wire it enters bootmode but it won’t be recognized by cleanflight. The board has two problems. One is the button, i don’t care.
But it wont be recognized as dfu.Attachments:

When shorted does only the green LED light up and no other LEDs flash when booted up?
How is the device displayed in the device manager on the computer? -
