Feedback on F3FC on Mini

Just thought to give some feedback.

Initial built about a year ago was the mini when it first came out. Had lots of fun but also my fair share of problems with it. In part due to my piloting skills, in part due to poor tuning, and in part due to the firmware still maturing and reliability/quality issues on the hardware. In the end, I lost it after a crash.

This gave me good excuse to start fresh. Integrated F3FC, new motors, servo with feedback, much cleaner and easier build with the PDB on top board, more experience in building and flying, and most importantly: TriFlight combined with PIDs converged by those with more experience. And of course BLHELI pass-through support, also via Chrome app (I am a Mac user). This meant I could build and set up, for the first time, an RCE tricopter where the setup off the assembly line was stable in the hover in rate/acro mode (no drift with hands off controls!).

Now I can build FPV and LOS experience without crashing (too much) and get to a level where I can adjust tuning to my experience level.

I’m also very happy with the telemetry containing consumption – works really well. I now have my Taranis voice reading out voltage and consumed mAh when voltage drops below certain levels (adjusted to 3S and 4S).

Add to that sound from my VTX allowing me to have audio cues when flying!
