O to the o
ParticipantHi
Today I tried to install a buzzer/ beeper on my mini Tricopter.
I soldered it on, conneted it via Usb to cleanflight, configuerd the buzzer, deconnected it and tried.
It was not working. Than I desoldered the buzzer, but now the Naze32 wont even connect to the Pc.
If I try the connection fails and the green and red leds on the Pcb are flashing.I use the Mini-Tricopter-kit whith Naze and Powerd.Bord and the Electronicskit.
I hope you guys can help me.

ParticipantHold on! Don’t panic…. It didn’t lose the magic smoke it might be fine. check for solder bridge near the area you soldered and opposite side. Just go over it really good to make sure you didn’t add too much solder.

ParticipantI forgot. Make sure you didn’t de-solder anything other than what you installed.
If you look at the board closely you may be able to hook up a ftdi cable to it… You would have to ask Dave.

ModeratorHave you tried re-flashing the integrated Naze32 board with the boot pads shorted? Be aware that the pads are covered in a thin layer of anti-corrosion stuff that you need to scratch off first.

ParticipantHey O, Maybe you could film your computer as your flashing. If you could get the computer screen and the naze in the shot could help find a solution. Also, your a little rough with the USB connector you should be very gentle. Also upload some close up photos of solder area.

Moderator@o-to-the-o: Which firmware and version are you flashing to your Naze? There were some versions that did not reconnect by itself after the Naze booted. Solution then was to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable. The problem is solved in later versions of TriFlight (at least).

ParticipantI use the newest version of Triflight from the mini Tricopter product page

ParticipantMaybe a static charge killed a chip or the bootloader.

ModeratorI have also heard people having problems with certain USB cables and using another cable solve their connection problems.
