    hi there,
so the question is pretty much in the title. since i am using the pdf, my ESCs have no built in BECs. how can i do my throttle calibration without frying my receiver from the 4s voltage?

    thanks guys!

You should use the built in power regulator on the PDF (if you purchased that) or use a stand alone ubec to power your FC (flight controller) and receiver with +5V. Your esc shuld still have a signal wire to control the speed with. Connect that to your FC. Use your FC to do the calibration.

    Which FC are you using?

ie: You could also calibrate each motor individually by hooking it up directly to your receiver.

    Perfect answer by @tomtebloss
If you’re running Naze32 you can calibrate the ESC’s from within the PC software. Works great.

ah thank you guys! this is my first multirotor and i’m used to calibrating esc’s “the old fashioned way” just with the tx.
