One thing to be aware of, BetaFlight uses softserial, and they account for the SPort signal inversion in the softserial code. dRonin does not have softserial, you must use a physical uart tx pin, and the signal between the RX and FC must be inverted, either thru an external signal inverter or the non-inverted SPort hack.
12 December, 2018 at 14:49 #60510jihleinParticipantJust had a side conversation with @Keven_Erik. He does indeed have the R-XSR working with dRonin on the Matek405 target. In his case, he is using UART4 TX as the input pin.
So I would recommend checking over the wiring and setup carefully, and see if you find anything there.
12 December, 2018 at 20:00 #60511FoschParticipantHi
Thanks for you help, however that’s still not working…
-R-XSR firmware up-to-date with last LBT firmware
-S.Port uninverted hack : soldering on the tiny pad is good, I check the continuity with a multimeter from a pin of the RXSR chip to TX4 pad)
-Telemetry given by the RXSR itself (RSSI+BtRx) is working, but no telemetry data coming from the FC.I have attached some pictures. Should I enable something else ?
Does Kevin_Erik use a MATEK F405 STD & RXSR with LBT firmware ?

Maybe check and see what sensors are being discovered on the Taranis?
12 December, 2018 at 20:58 #60520Kevin_ErikModeratordRonin Lua script can be found here as an attachment on first thread: https://rcexplorer.se/forums/topic/dronin-f405-ctr-target-testing/#post-58340
Be aware that the R-XSR has two operating modes selectable by holding the bind button after power up. This changes its communication protocal (sbus / cppm) and is shown by what color LED is lit. (sbus = blue)
12 December, 2018 at 21:00 #60521FoschParticipantOnly RSSI & BtRx sensors are discovered by the Taranis, even after creating a new model on the Taranis.
I’m afraid I’m going to give up with telemetry unfornately…
12 December, 2018 at 21:02 #60522FoschParticipantand S.BUS is working, I see it through dRonin GSC, however thanks for the LUA link 🙂
12 December, 2018 at 21:03 #60524Kevin_ErikModeratorDid you try that LUA i posted?
After installing the Lua, you will need to reboot the Taranis and then “discover” sensors.
12 December, 2018 at 21:06 #60525Kevin_ErikModeratorFrom the pics you added, your setup looks good on the copter. Only three things could be wrong.
-Wiring
-LUA
-Faulty R-XSR, but i assume it works on Betaflight?12 December, 2018 at 21:45 #60526FoschParticipantI didn’t come back to Betaflight to check if the telemetry is still working.
However, I’ve changed the receiver to a XSR-SB (S.Port on TX3) and I got the Lipo battery voltage only, but nothing else (no accelerometer, etc.). It is normal ?
And dRonin LUA script is not working. Please have a look to the pictures.

12 December, 2018 at 21:55 #60529Kevin_ErikModeratorWondering if there is something different about your Taranis. Its obvious that the Telemetry is there but its not being understood by the Taranis.
I assume you rediscovered sensors?
Silly question, is Telemetry enabled in your Teranis for the bound receiver? I ask cause its easy to mis-click this and select channel settings other than Telemetry.
Please make a pic of your Binding settings.
12 December, 2018 at 21:59 #60530FoschParticipantYes I deleted and rediscovered the sensors.
I’m using Opentx 2.2.2
Maybe I should full erase my Taranis?
PS: binding pictures coming soon
12 December, 2018 at 22:09 #60532FoschParticipantI’m not sure what you mean by “Telemetry enabled in your Teranis”
Is it the picture your are expecting (with XSR-SB) ? Otherwise please show me an example

12 December, 2018 at 22:31 #60537FoschParticipantYes, I rebound the 2 receivers with “Telemetry ON”
I’m using LBT EU firmware, I don’t if it could be the reason.
Tomorrow I will erase all data from my Taranis
