I made a step towards professional applications of Bi-copter configuration. Currently design a big inspection *(15 – 18 inch propeller ) copter I wanted to get familiar with behavior with ARDUPILOT code. The micro frame is best for safe experiments. https://youtu.be/A_MrDXRqFqM
Soon I will send him on a autonomous mission when i will install GPS.
Total weight is 180g (up to 220g with bigger battery) the GPS I use for autonomous missions with ardupilot weights around 18 grams so i will need to add it and probably choose bigger propellers to fly with it.

Nice looking Bi. I’ve been looking at Ardupilot lately now that it runs on many standard F4 boards. Looking at your example and another RCExplorer bicopter, keeping CG low is a good thing.

Here’s the video of an RCExplorer Bi running ArduPilot I found last night including high speed rearward flight.

    Cheers!

I know this one. One of co-workers of mine knows the person who build it.

How far did he drop the battery? I’ve had a suspicion this would help, but never got around to trying it. I will in the near future……
