In Dec 2016 I bought the mini electronics pack. It contained Little Bee ESCs. In a recent crash I damaged one of them. I had Aikon 32s available and replaced it. Problem is that BLHELI configurator only sees the original 2 Little Bee ESCs. Anyone with ideas if this mix will work and how to get the pass-through to work?
2 June, 2018 at 11:50 #57995Kevin_ErikModeratorThe newer BlHeli ESC’s run as a Master / Slave configuration. Not sure if this is done for timing purposes or if its just for the Data link with the configurator. Its possible that the differences between the ESC firmware prevents the older and newer ESC’s from working in this way. Hence you may need to set them up individually and then reconnect them to the FC. Past that they ahould all respond to the PWM signal the same way so long as they all support the same protocals. (1-shot, multi & D-Shot ect) I assume that they have similar current ratings?

Hence, setup your new ESC’s as you’d like using the new BL-32 configurator, then load up the old configurator for the Little-Bee ESC. Don’t forget to name each ESC by its Type / Location on your copter. This will make it much easier to identify things (later on) for a number of reasons that are not relivant here.
Also, in the event that you can’t get the Little-Bee ESC to communicate via the old software, Unsolder the signal wire (temporarily) from the BL-32’s and try again. The Master / Slave system could be a pain when dealing with non BL-32 ESC’s.
Note: This all assumes your familiar with how to use the configurator. Which i am thinking you are. Mac’s are a pain with applications that are made specificly for Windows. There are some cases where a Mac reversion is released however.

2 June, 2018 at 14:28 #57999biggestRCEfanParticipantThanks mate. Did some research and I believe the issue is in part that triflight is based on BF3.1.7, while BLheli 32 pass-through requires BF3.2. I was thinking I may need to desolder etc as you suggest, but I would rather get some non 32 bit ESCs and create a consistent set of escs.
It is with the BLHeli Configurator (your first link) that I see the little bees but not the Aikon 32.
I did run BLHelisuit using the Wine app, but no joy in getting it to see any ESC, but I suspect I have some comms issue. I recall now how I have used the BLHelisuit in the past, using arduino. Pain in the butt as well …
