Hello Everybody,
I’m new to this RC world 🙂
I built my first baby tricopter, but I have some questions.
Each motor rotates in the same direction? I know, the prop: left, tail CCW, right CW.
So I’m gonna make a good turn on the ground, does not fly. 🙂
Use the baby tri electronic kit with triflight_0.7_Beta2_RCEXPLORERF3.hex. Tailtune setup is complete.
What did I do wrong?Kaly

-Are the props installed the right way?
-In Betaflight did you select the correct Multirotor type?
-Did you look in the Betaflight configuration to see which prop directions are set for each motor?
-With the props removed, can you spin up the motors via Betaflight in a controlled way? (Spin right direction)
-Are the wires from the Flight controller to the ESC’s and from the ESC’s to the motors installed correctly? Takes only misplaced 1 wire for the motors to spin the wrong way or not at all.
-Does your Tricopter respond to the RC control input?

– Yes, the Betaflight select tricopter
– Yes, I try the betaflight prop directions.
– No… Right motor spin the opposite direction, CCW like the other motors… 🙁 (If I swap the ESC with the two side wires it can help? )
– I’ve seen several times and I see that everything is good (maybe)
– Yes, tricopter respond . I flew with her, only with a bad propeller direction. 🙂Kaly

Dont worry, i had this happen to me as well… was pretty easy to fix once i figured out which wires I needed to swap.
15 October, 2017 at 18:57 #39886GAntonjoModerator@Kevin_Erik is (partly) right – you can change the spin direction by desoldering 2 of the 3 wires on right ESC and swap them around. That is, it takes 2 misplaced cables;-)
Well, “misplaced” is a matter of definition. Even if you have all cables between ESCs and Motors soldered to the same pads on the ESCs, you may observe different spin directions on the motors. It then depends on the settings in the ESCs, especially if they are running the BLHeli Firware. In BLHeli you may configure the motors to run in “normal” direction or “reverse” direction by connecting the ESCs to the computer and configuring the ESC setting in BLHeliSuite or BLHeli Configurator.
Have a look at this video:
NOTE OF WARNING!!! Please take off the propellers before testing this on your bench.

Trying to use the BLHeliSuite32 with WINE (I use OSX) , but this give error:
