Odds are that the requirements to ARM the copter have not been met. This isnt something thats really covered in Davids videos.

Question: can you use Betaflight to manualy spin up your motors?

    These videos may help you:

If you’re running 0.7 Beta 3 one of the requirements is the bench tail tune. I find that is generally the case.

Thanks for the replies, I used clearflight as shown in David’s videos, I take that it works on betaflight as well? Which is better? .
There is definitely power going to the motors as they beep when the battery is plugged in .

EDIT: I almost forgot, here is where you can find the latest hex files for triflight: https://github.com/lkaino/Triflight/releases

    Hey, hopefully we can help!

Even though the following link is for cleanflight, I used to to help me get up and working on betaflight: https://github.com/lkaino/Triflight/blob/master/docs/Triflight%20Checklist.md

    – verify your endpoints on the receiver tab
    – verify you min check

I am still a noob, so I often forget about the little steps needed to take.

I suggest betaflight. Triflight is now using betaflight, so anything from triflight 0.7 onward is going to be based on betaflight.

    Here’s another set of notes I pulled from a forum somewhere;

HOW TO DO THIS PROPERLY :
    0)Remove your propellers.

1)Set (on TX) the end points to 1000 @stick’s min, 2000 at stick’s max, and 1500 @ center stick. Do this on the Tx, while looking on the reciever tab in cleanflight. (If you were unable to set proper endpoints, watch the video fully to understand what’s going on)

    2) Enter CLI COMMANDS
    set min_check=1050
    set max_check=1950
    set min_command=1000
    set max_throttle=2000

    3) Calibrate ESCs in motors tab

    4)Enter CLI command
set min_throttle = to the lowest value where the motors spin without cogging in motors tab.

    5)Go Fly.

    Good luck, hope this helps!

Often it’s the min_check that gets me as I totally forget to set it.

With the throttle stick (if your using a KK2 FC) all the way down push it all the way to the right and hold it there until the arming beep sounds. I ran into this being new to RC, David told me now I’m sharing it with you.:-)
