I ordered the runcam split. Question is what is the best way to power it, considering it draws around 600 mA off 5V source. I’m running servo at 6V so can’t use that as a source. Next option is to take it off vbat via a separate step-down capable of 1A at 5V, which will ensure Isense will include FPV consumption. Any thoughts?

Then there is the challenge of fitting it in the stack …

Does your VTX have a 5V BEC? If so, how many mA is it rated for? I’m curious to see how well the Split does. I’ve been thinking about decasing one of my Runcam HD V1s and doing something similar.

    Cheers!

Using the FT48X which draws 250mA. Can’t find what the 5V out is rated at but from various sources this is meant to power FPV camera only (order of 50-120 mA) and won’t break with driving an HD camera such as GoPro and runcam 3/split.
