Unfortunately, unlike the Tri-Mini i fly, i dont have recording capability with the Tribaby.

    Wish i did…

My external FPV-DVR video monitor won’t record to an sd card and gives no indication as to why.

You could solve the lack of video with this https://www.banggood.com/Eachine-Micro-AV-Recorder-1280480-Mini-DVR-Support-32G-TF-For-EV100-Goggles-p-1196134.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN

Im using some of these types for better dvr video with osd record for data logg and when I fly during the night with the foxeer night wolf camera to get that footage at all. Ill link to my last flight with an quad with onboard dvr during night so you could see. think the flight is 7min into the clip.

second clip is maiden with my last quad build, here you could see the osd and all on the record.

    Nice flights!

I’ve a DVR its just not working. Pretty much had nothing but issues with this DVR / Monitor from day one. It’s either that the battery lasts less then 10 minutes, the video craps out easily or it refuses to record anything. I’ve a pair of FPV glasses and can see that the image quality in the glasses is often clear while the Monitors image has lines. Guessing that either the Taranis is causing interferance or that the receiver cards in the Monitor arnt very reliable.

Note: Already had one replaced by the MFR, same issues with both.

Anyhow… had two short flights today, pulled 125 Amps during a 100% punch-out! (2000-2100 Watts)

If i ever rebuild the baby, i’d opt for this FC: https://www.fpvmodel.com/betaflightf7-RV1-flight-controller_g1393.html

Ahh give me a week… waiting on the heat-shrink.

Still need to sort out my DVR / Monitor as it refuses to record.

Afterwards, i did some 4S bench testing to verify that it doesnt blow up. FC, Servo, and Motors are great. However the video was trash! Soon discovered that the LC filter i had installed also has a 5 volt regulator onboard. Aparently, this was causing the VTX / camera to be under powered and thus shutdown. I’ve ordered a replacement LC filter, thats just a filter and weights 0.2 gram! Should have it by Saturday.

Note: 6S testing and flight comes next week.

Notice the new, ultra-stubby vtx antenna!

Should keep it from getting smacked by being so low profile. I’ve also tweaked the receiver antennas. looks a bit wonky but its the best i can do to keep the antenna leads out of the propeller arc. (Yeah, had them, get clipped recently)

    Completed the 6S preliminary check.

Everything runs up fine on the bench thus far.
Should I have a “nice” day outside I may take it for the first flight.

Meanwhile I really need to figure whats wrong with my Monitor-DVR not recording to an SD card.
