@lkaino, if you’re interested, i’m have much fun with triflight_0_5_candidate2_F3FC.zip on a v4 tri :))
I can’t say I have this taildrift, I do see the hesitating motor you mentioned (even a hard ‘landing’ because of it), and you can hear it clearly when it happens. Not consistently reproducible unfortunately. Happens also when the copter brakes from a roll of flip, and punch outs.
One of the motors is hesitating when throttle is quickly raised.
I’m not convinced its a hardware issue yet.

Choose Programmer:USBasp and Sketch -> Upload using programmer.
I bought another Openlog (safety first ;):

which flashed fine via FTDI.
@lkaino many thanks for triflight_0_5_candidate2_F3FC.zip, it flies great and I now can use blackbox logger on UART3.
bhuismParticipantI’d love to run blackbox but can’t seem to disable MSP on UART3 with triflight_0_5_CLEANFLIGHT_1_13_TEST2_F3FC.zip, so I can enable blackbox on that port. After disabling MSP and saving the MSP is back on again. I’ll try looking at the code, maybe I’m missing something.

Sometimes (after fc battery connect) cleanflight configurator saw a ‘DFU’ device instead of a serial port, but I can’t reproduce that.
It also flies great! with alpha2 I saw that the autolevel calibration shift after 10 minutes of flying, that is gone now.
bhuismParticipant@swissfreek, maybe you can also tell me if there is an onboard flash storage chip for blackbox logging in the F3FC or not? On David’s product page it says ‘blackbox logging’ but the configurator says: ‘no dataflash chip found’. thanks! Bas

bhuismParticipantA, thanks! I thought it was me, I’ll wait then, I configure them with the usbasp tool.
bhuismParticipantI can’t get the onewire interface to work with freshly flashed dys 20a’s. I flashed them with the newest blheli 14.6 incl. blheli bootloader. The FC is a brand new F3FC with TriFlight 0.5 Alpha 2, I checked that USE_SERIAL_1WIRE is in target.h of the RCE target.
The blheli suite does detect the 3 esc’s when I connect but reading them just freezen blheli.any ideas? should work right?
bhuismParticipantI have the same, I though it was me 🙂 I’ll give it (set servo min/max/centre) a try via the transmitter way now
bhuismParticipant@artemen can you post a picture from the side? from the body? which gimbal are you using?
bhuismParticipantHa! I love it, cleanest arms ever this way.
The booms I got are pretty clean on the inside btw, but thanks for the heads up.
Did you measure the wattage / amperage btw? Did you run the motors at 100%? for how long?
bhuismParticipantI think (hope) they could just fit. I don’t think I can keep myself from doing a ‘fitting’ 🙂
Can you recommend such a compound?
bhuismParticipantThat’s the reason I’m asking 🙂 they sell them with the argument of putting them in the arms. Was wondering if anyone has put them in the carbon woven arms.
