ParticipantActually since you have a friend in to it, that makes a big difference. I looked up your link and looked at the laser kits and there is some really neat planes. I actually like the gliders. But you know if your build it, you can modify it! Sometimes if you see a kit on a website you can look on you tube and see if anyone reviewed it.

ParticipantHi Epic!
20 dollars seems cheap for the kit,but you have to buy covering like monokote and trim and hardware that might cost a bit more than you think. I’ve built a couple balsa kits like the gentle lady and the aerostar40. Monokote is not the easiest thing to work with, and you might have to buy a extra roll and the iron made for it to have a really nice covering. I would go to your local hobby shop and ask them questions on how complicated and expensive it might be.donnyb
ParticipantI actyou ly bought the taranis. It’s a really versatile radio with the ability to use other modules. It’s not the easiest radio to get your hands on even if you have the money. But combined with the x8r for less than 200 us dollars. It’s a really nice deal. Also it can bind with the older frsky receivers. Receiver’s cost from 20 to 35 dollars. It’s a little overwhelming at first to program it, but worth the time. Something I like is the programmable fail safe. If you lose your signal and sometimes it happens you can program your fail safe to either cut the signal or flying in circles or cut the throttle by 50%. There is nothing worse than a flyaway!

ParticipantI actually b.ought that. The small monitor is pretty nice. But I use reading glasses and it’s a bit short. But a good deal for the monitor. I thought about mounting it my transmitter. I would try to stick immersionrc uno and and the fcc compliant transmitter Both together will be 100 dollars. I think I would go with the Mobius to record HD video and stream at the same time.

ParticipantThe place was Amy’s cookies. It was in the basement of a department store A crossed from the record department. It is hard to explain thr love for the cookies, but I wouldn’t mind the 2 mile walk just to stand in front of the counter. Yes,it was everything! But out of the all of the cookies there was one. It was a huge with macadamia nuts and white chocolate on a chewy chocolate chip base. They where 50 cents and I would buy 2. By the time I finished off the second one I was sick and happy.
