I would agree just go betaflight. I did the whole dronin thing as per David’s instructions and wasn’t happy with it on my setup. Tmotor/racerstar 2305/1600kv on 3s 3300mah with 7×3.5×3 blade props.
The cli dump and port remapping from the main thread works perfect with betaflight, as wired in David’s video, and i have had a successful maiden, it’s down to tuning now.

thats great thanks. i just maidened er outside on betaflight with cli from here and port remapping worked great! i am using 7″x3.5×3 props and it seems to handle great in a small area, it was quite windy too.
i know 8″ props are suggested but i might stick with these until i can actually get the mas 8×4. its very quiet with these 7″ and i hear that the ocsillations will be higher so it may not affect the camera stability as much.
2blade props give lower frequency oscillations, which the camera picks up as jello.
thanks to all that worked on the betaflight cli\pids!!!

What is it with these boards? Im regretting ordering another one after my first one had problems with one of the esc signal pads, it just stopped working and sent my tri into the ground. Sheesh. Not too impressed as ive been flying quads over a year meow and never had any problems except ones I caused myself. Im going to build my own stuff from meow on, cant wait for my 3d printer to get here…

Does noone have any reply to this? Can i or cant i get to the left esc signal any other way?
Seems like quite an oversight for an integrated board to not have any alternatives for powering the escs…
    ?
Its the f3fc board, theres lots of pictures of it.

I have the 5 and 6 inch alien frames and beat the absolute crap out of them constantly, they perform amazing and take a real beating and just keep going.
I would honestly start with quads as they are usually very robust and have no servo which is a huge pain no question. Its easy to damage or burn out a servo and then its a bit of work to get going again.
The reason i like Tricopters is their smoothness when shooting video, but it takes a lot of practice to get to smooth piloting. The minitri is really nice and agile, but its also more fragile.
Personally i wouldn’t attemt a lot of that stuff in the video with my minitri but my quads can pull that stuff off no problem. Ive also flown 3 and 4 inch quads which are a blast as well.
Hope that helps a bit, check out mattystuntz youtube page 😉

Ok ill do the tune again, it did seem fine and the copter reacts very nicely to inputs. Albeit a little fast!

I was able to get it figured out after watching daves videos again. It is yawing to the right a lot but its too windy to tailtune today maybe that will fix it.
    Thanks a lot!

Try getting it up out of the prop wash it may just be trying to compensate. Or the sensitivity is tuned too high possibly?
