ParticipantThanks @GAntonjo
I had an email exchange with David who solved my problem for now.
Those test-ping-ppp posts were submitted because I didn’t understand why this forum blocked me.Both accounts were blocked immediately after sending an URL to some web page (github or other).
Now I know I can’t add url to any page otherwise this forum blocks me..
Sorry for bothering you.Bye

ParticipantInav optimized? I’ll look for it
edit
I realized Dronin is based on openpilot/taulabs.. I was using them with CC3D and Flip32.
I don’t really like these GCS, I prefere Cleanflight/betaflight configurators, in my opinion they are simpler and cleaner, a question of taste.I think I’m going to wait for the betafight 3.2 release and subsequent Triflight update.
It seems that GPS and Mag will be re-added.Thanks
Pietro
ParticipantI’m not interested in GPS assisted navigation.
I’m looking for GPS telemetry on Taranis, to log position in crash event.
And if possible home direction on OSD.INav isn’t optimized for tricopter flight as triflight right?
thanksPietro
ParticipantHello
I recently bought a F3FC tricopter plate and I flashed Triflight 0.7.
Then I started to configure GPS/MAG (Ublox NEO 7 combo) and I realized that Betaflight has dropped GPS/Mag support. Is it also for Triflight I guess..
Right?Pietro
ParticipantUpdate
I was able to get D4R-II telemetry on my taranis
In Triflight 0.7 If I set PPM/frsky in configuration/ports then RX works but telemetry don’tI had to switch to serial receiver/Smartport in ports sbus in configuration save and reboot a couple of times and then return to PPM/frsky
Then magically all started working with D4R-II..Strange thing

ParticipantHello
today I tried to setup D4R-II in PPM mode and telemetry.
Receiver works but not the same for telemetry. On the D4R-II there is a 4 wires plug Green (RX) Red (Tx) White (AD2) and Black (Gnd).
I set telemetry “ON” in configuration on Betaflight configurator then I tried to set Telemetry Output on each of the 3 uarts at a time on Port tab. As telemetry I set “Frsky”.Then I hooked up Green (Rx) on the D4R to Tx on the F3FC.
Then Armed my tri and went to telemetry tab on Taranis to search for new swnsors..
No sensor except Voltage (A1 & A2) RSSI and SWR appear..I tried also to connect Gnd on RX to Gnd on F3FC but nothing changed
Then Tried to use smartport as telemetry protocol on Ports tab but again no success…
Where am I making mistakes?Thanks
Pietro
ParticipantHello
I add my question to this old post
Does D4R-II telemetry work on F3FC board (tricopter plate one)?
Shall I connect it to one of free uart port? Thanks

ParticipantI like Telemetry on Taranis because I can register data on SD on Taranis itself.
So for example I can log GPS fix that gives me last valid position in tricopter lost event..Thanks for suggestion.
Pietro
ParticipantIt seems not possible..

ParticipantThanks LitterBug
I’m a lazy man and I like to flash and configure basic things with USB, then use Bluetooth module and this is a serial occupied
Then Sbus/Smartport ant it’s three
GPS to register thelemetry on Taranis (If I loose my beloved in the wood) and it’s four
then OSD and 5!I think I’m going to use softserial for GPS and OSD as they don’t need high baud rates
For my CAM, I’m planning to use a Runcam Micro Swift, any experience with it or any suggestion for a different VTX/OSD??
I’v got “lot” of roomPietro
ParticipantI am considering the F3FC option with baby PDB and a diatone a VTX/OSD combo.
Does F3FC have pads available for SoftSerial?
ThanksPietro
