Have a look at my build post. I mounted the PDB and flight controller on the bottom plate. It required a bit of careful drilling, but was easy enough.

Brilliant, thanks for the reply. Not sure where I got the dRonin files from. I was just pleased that I managed to find it, and install it. I’ll follow your link. As a mechanical engineer, this is one step removed from witchcraft to me.

A bit more info on my build. I plan to use an 18650 3s x 2p battery on the top plate. This is more energy dense than a regular LiPo pack. Li-ion is about 50gms per Ah whilst LiPo is 70gms. My 6Ah pack will weigh 300gms.

I’ll order up some cells and build a pack. When my drone arrives, I’ll build it all up and report back.

I did wonder about 3p and 4p.

Nice build BTW. I also like the low profile look.

30A discharge, 2p 60A. Should be enough and it’s a light little pack at 300gms.

Hi Folks,

Has anybody considered using a pack built from 18650 cells. You could build a 3s x 2p 6ah pack that weighed 300 grams. This should improve flight time?
