First day at FliteFest was a blast!

I brought the Bi-copter with me and anyone that wanted to fly it got the controller. It really is great meeting people and flying together.

More pictures and video:

If you’re at FF tellt me down and say hello!

I so need to build one of these. If you don’t end up offering a kit please post plans so I can build my own.

I thought I read someone saying that for stability a low CG is better due to pendulum effect. It’s actually reverse (common confusion).Try with the battery on top. 100% of the rc helicopters are more inherently stable when flown upside down.
For pitch stability authority, it’s defined by the position of the cg along the length axis, but the problem is that it makes it stable only in one flight direction (towards where the CG is leading on the motor axis). Moreover, increasing rotational inertia of the body helps too (distributing weight at the outer ends rather than all around the motor axis).
