After having the spare ESCs sitting on my desk for a week, I’ve finally had some time to replace the suspected bad one. Looks like everything spins up nice and smoothly now, and I was even able to reverse the spin of the motor in the process, which I had intended to do eventually but kept putting off.
Hopefully this esc will last a bit longer for me.
