    @Red-Devil

    THATS IT! it flew!!

I’m shaking from how sensitive the yaw is. Nothing close to my ZMR. Seemed pretty dialed in with all the settings from everyone.

the servo was wiggling like crazy to keep it steady. Not sure if that’s normal.

    Thanks @Red-Devil !

Everything seems okay right now. Going to go break my last set of props.

I’ll report back in 5 minutes.

Thanks Arthur! Please let me know if you find anything at all.

I thought the same. I took it apart last night, and triple checked it was

    Skip 1
    LRB
    Skip 1
    Servo

    Thanks for the reply!

Thanks to both of you. I did some more testing and found out a couple things.

    1. I am in over my head. My inexperience is getting the best of my patience. I only have one set of props left so my next attempt has to be good. I have about 200 gemfan 5×4 from my zmr though. Not sure if i can use them on the tri?

    2. Doing the hand held thrust tests i noticed a couple of things.
    – It would stick to one side when i tried moving the right stick hard right or left, even after returning to the center.
    – turning the right stick left/right/up/down initially moved the TRI in the direction, but forward didn’t really feel good. Felt like it wanted to lean backwards still.
    – Servo was going crazy, even @ 1200, it just kept getting faster and faster as it tried to correct its orientation. (i re centered just to make sure before this test)

I finally connected it back to CF and tried again, and noticed what i attached in the video.

    Thoughts:
    1. Do i need to calibrate my ESC’s?
    2. Would rather pay someone to finish this build at this point, as it’s sucking up my time and it’s all i can think about day/night. I am at the point where i’m dreaming of this thing. I’m serious about this. Will paypal and send this out to be tuned/fixed.

I set it up via your instructions using each link in your tutorial to the best of my ability.

    – My receiver midpoints are good 1000-2000
    – Acceleromter calibrated correctly, was originally upside down
    – Servo looked good, from eye, ~40 degrees as requested in each direction. I was not able to adjust since i didn’t understand it very well.

    – I stayed away from oneshot for now, until i can get this in the air.

So on the initial thurst test, it instantly flipped right, no air time. I’m checking if i mixed up my motor connections.

I would gladly pay you Leo, to finish this for me. lmk if you would be interested or if it’s even allowed here.

I appreciate all that you’ve done.

I went on and tried to understand your instructions as best as i could. I didn’t understand the servo part, but it honestly seemed to move 40deg in each direction.

My motors spin in these directions
    L-CW (6×4.R)
    R-CCW (6×4.5)
    B-CCW (6×4.5)

Wanted to test if it would hover, and instantly flipped right. Not sure what happened. I’m sure i over looked something so obvious, but i don’t have the slightest idea.

    Thanks everyone.

@leothehuman , thanks for pointing that out. I am now on the correct version.

Should i still use David’s CLI copy/paste or ignore it and follow your directions? I am also using the recommended parts, should i have to flash my ESC’s at all?

    Thanks.

I have not tried it yet. It moves well when I control it, but when I tilt the tri, it slowly moves left/right. In David’s video, it moves quickly to compensate for his movements.

My next step i guess will be to fix the motor direction and Calibrate Accelerometer.

Thanks @meborc and @Jan Paul for the help thus far.

I haven’t been able to figure out how to adjust my MID/MIN/MAX. Anything i do resets it. Google shows me a ton of people with this problem and a ton of different CLI commands, but unfortunately it doesn’t work.

I have attached a picture if anyone has seen this before.

Thanks!!! That was it -_-. My servo wasn’t centered.

It’s making a buzzing sound though, and i read that it’s normal.

    Can anyone confirm?

    Thanks again!

Just realized i skipped the step Meborc stated, about how to center it, when it’s clear as day in the video.

So as of right now, i can’t move my servo with my Taranis at all, so here is hoping that’s the fix.

    Hi Jan,

I did try, from a google post i saw, but it just wouldn’t accept it. Tried it on my mac and pc. I would hit enter and an error would pop up, i’m still at work so i can’t replicate yet.

Would you know what the command is to set it?

    Thanks.

I would also like to add, on cleanflight, my MIN on the servo tab was 23,000. I would try to bring it back to ~1100 or so, but it would not save.

    Hi Meborc,

I did make sure it was loose enough on the initial install. But i definitely did not center the servo. I thought that was something i would do in cleanflight. I will try that tonight when i get off work.

As for the initial centering, i just loosen the screw, move it back 2-3mm from the mount, and power it on via the PDB? Or do i somehow plug the servo directly to the lipo?

Cleanflight told me my min was like 23,000 and i was not able to adjust/save. I see that is a common issue on the saving part.

    Thanks for the reply!
