I’ve got new fancy transmitter

I finally took the plunge and replaced my old Futaba 7C transmitter with a brand new, fancy one. After much contemplation on which one to choose, I settled on this one:

The Hitec Aurora 9. And I must say that I’m very satisfied with my choice. I love the touch screen and the powerful yet simple to use interface. The grip is a perfect mach for my hands and the sticks feel smooth and precise. A cool feature is the telemetry capability of the Hitec system. Every 2.4GHz Hitec receiver will transmit the battery voltage on the plane back down to the transmitter, and you can set a low voltage alarm for every model. I like that!

Size wise it’s about the same as the Futaba 7C.

Hugh backlit touchscreen.

Many switches as well as two sliders on the sides.

Transmitter module is nice. But the antenna cable sticking out isn’t very sexy.

Time to try it out for real

  1. I love this transmitter. I have had my share of transmitters, ranging from the old Sataba(52 MHz) and multiplex to Futaba and JR. I have only recently switched to 2.4GHz, starting with the Spektrum DX6i(wonderful, affordable initiation). I immediately fell in love with my Aurora9 the moment I laid my fingers on it. Also a perfect transmitter if you pinch the control sticks.

    I have one question regarding:
“Every 2.4GHz Hitec receiver will transmit the battery voltage on the plane back down to the transmitter, and you can set a low voltage alarm for every model”
How do you set this up?
