Hello, I assembled my motor swivel on the bench and it was free with no play, when I tie locked down it was quite hard to swivel. What I found was the bottom of the mount that attached to the carbon finer square tube was not flat and when it was tie locked down it cause it to bind.
What you need to do is make the bottom flat first on the bench, then free it up so it swivels freely and then when you tie lock it to the carbon fiber tube it will still turn freely-
