Here is the second DIY antenna guide in the circular fashion. The Skew-Planar Wheel antenna is an excellent omnidirectional receiver antenna. Team this one up with a Cloverleaf and you’ll have an excellent omnidirectional circular polarized antenna setup that will reject multipath, give you a clearer signal and wont loose signal in a bank.

Two days of editing and many days of shooting has produced these results:

Trivia:
The video was filmed in California, Florida, Ohio and the middle of Sweden. Which is by far the furthest distance per scene I’ve filmed so far. (more…)

After flying the MiniQuad for a while I decided to increase the prop size. But then I ran into some trouble, the carbon tubes twisted under heavy load. To fix this and also make it more impact resistant, I added a carbon square frame.

I just finished up an article on Circular polarization.

The guide explains why circular polarization is superior in FPV uses by explaining things like cross polarization and multipath interference. After reading the guide I think you’ll be wanting some new DIY antenna guides and I can happily say that they are on the way.
